Ardalanish Beach is a beautiful long arc of white sand with views out to sea to Colonsay and Jura. Scattered over the beach are fascinating rocky outcrops which have geological significance as well as a fun playground for children. In summer the beach is fringed with flowering machair with a wonderful display of meadowsweet, knapweed and many other flora. The rock pools host a variety of marine life for entertaining and educating children. To reach Ardalanish Beach take the turnoff for Uisken near Bunessan, and follow the signs for Ardalanish Weavers. Make sure to visit this unique attraction, it is open at all times. It is a short walk to the beach from the car park, with stunning views opening out to the coast. Dolphins, sea eagles and many other wildlife species can be spotted here.
