The weather in the Ross of Mull can be variable, in particular it can be windy, (which has the benefit of keeping the midgies at bay). However, recently we experienced a most unusual evening mist which gave an ethereal light over the moor behind the Bunkrooms. The local highland cow herd, and even some distant deer appeared like shadowy forms with the white heads of bog cotton adding a further eerie dimension to the landscape,
